Heads up
This tool uses detailed tables and multi-column inputs designed for a laptop or desktop. You can still use it here, but some elements may be harder to navigate on a smaller screen.

Where to look first
Biggest ten categories — variance at cost
No category has a variance in this report.
When the counts are right in SumUp and the final report is uploaded here, record who counted it, what was checked and why the stock is out. Then create the PDF and email it. The PDF is the record of this stock take.
Tick what you did before signing off. These appear on the PDF.
Your biggest shortages and surpluses. Every product needs a reason before the report can be created. Pick the one that says where the stock actually went — or, if you checked and still can’t explain it, “Investigated — cause not found”. The note asks for the detail that makes it useful. The list changes with the direction: missing stock and extra stock have different causes, so a short row and an over row are offered different reasons.
You’ll be asked to confirm the count is accurate before the report is created. Your name, role, department and the date go on the report.
